I am interested in how somatic theory and practice can be useful in choreography and performance. We began this piece with improvisations following sensation in our bodies, and also by playing frisbee and paying attention to the sensations in our bodies. Aaron Chavez will be playing percussion for it, and I'm uploading this video largely so that he can see it in it's complete form before playing for the showing on Monday. Some of what you hear in the video is a recording of him, but mostly it's just me banging around. I'm curious to hear comments...it's definitely still rough, so be nice :-)

<embed src="http://www.youtube.com/get_player" type="application/x-shockwave-flash"width="320" height="266" bgcolor="#FFFFFF"flashvars="flvurl=http://v4.nonxt3.googlevideo.com/videoplayback?id%3D8c53913c1817d926%26itag%3D5%26app%3Dblogger%26ip%3D0.0.0.0%26ipbits%3D0%26expire%3D1329942188%26sparams%3Did,itag,ip,ipbits,expire%26signature%3D42DACD894C80ADB271C65658C1A144F92D1E14F1.329660591F753BEFE98826ABD631BCB78EF16A75%26key%3Dck1&iurl=http://video.google.com/ThumbnailServer2?app%3Dblogger%26contentid%3D8c53913c1817d926%26offsetms%3D5000%26itag%3Dw160%26sigh%3DKS4VA4K4k3Q9ejy91KcmMpI0zYs&autoplay=0&ps=blogger"allowFullScreen="true" />
